Who We Are
Who We Are
Congregation Nevei Kodesh is known for its creative, meaningful, and joyful embrace of the spiritual riches of the Jewish tradition. Situated at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, we come together to seek an authentic, inclusive, and egalitarian expression of Jewish life in the 21st century.
Established in 1993, Nevei Kodesh is an extended family of people from diverse backgrounds, welcoming and affirming Jewish, interfaith, and multicultural families, singles, couples, seniors, Jews by choice, LGBTQIA+ folks, and participants in other spiritual traditions.

Everyone is Welcome!
Our Values:
We practice Judaism by:
Genuinely welcoming everyone. Inclusivity is a core value, and we believe diversity and intergenerationality make us a stronger community. You are welcome and you can belong here whatever your background, family situation, or lifestyle. We are curious to get to know you!
Cultivating connection to Spirit. We aim to partner with the Divine, in how we pray and how we act in the world.
Caring for each other. We are a community that emphasizes human connection, supporting each other in times of need and times of joy.
Keeping it meaningful and relevant. We derive value from the teachings of Judaism in responding to the questions of the current age. Judaism is a living tradition.
Being joyful. Our worship is energized and embodied, using music and dance to enliven and uplift the spirit. This helps us build connection and access our spiritual core.
Cultivating a social consciousness. We stand for equity, universal human dignity, and the protection of the planet.
Intentionally exploring and innovating. Our worship expresses a creative tension between experiment and tradition, open to adaptation, and the evolution of new methods.
Encouraging active involvement. Everyone contributes their unique talents and perspectives to the community to make it happen. We get it together, together.
Nurturing the next generation. We create a space that connects the generations, where young people can learn, thrive, and develop their Jewish identity.
And we pass these values along to our children.
Our Core Purpose:
To nourish our souls so that we can do good in the world, to promote loving interaction among people, and to transmit a living Jewish tradition.
Our Vision:
To revitalize Judaism as a transformative spiritual path for the 21st century.
Our Mission:
To build a dynamic, inclusive, multigenerational, participatory community, dedicated to renewing Jewish tradition through engaged spiritual practice, meaningful study, and responsible social action.
